A joint meeting of the Parliamentary Party and Central Council tonight selected the following candidates to select the Seanad elections on behalf of the Labour Party:
Cultural and Educational Panel: Cllr. John Gilroy, Cork North Central
Industrial and Commercial Panel: Cllr. Jimmy Harte, Donegal North East
Administrative Panel; Cllr. John Kelly, Roscommon/South Leitrim
Agricultural Panel; Susan O'Keeffe, Sligo/North Leitrim
Cllr. James Heffernan, Limerick
Labour Panel: John Whelan, Laois/Offaly
Cllr. Marie Moloney, Kerry South.
