Westport must wait to know the outcome of the Government's decision on Gold Mining near Croagh Patrick. It is weeks since my motion was adopted by Westport Town Council and the closing date for observations on the proposed exploration licence was the 24 of December.
Any day now we can expect the Minister's decision. Until then we wait, in hope.
