Labour reborn as a third party

I think that we are watching the re-shaping of the Labour Party as a third party in Irish politics. The theme and mood of the speakers so far is one of Us Alone as a party in the local and genaeral elections from now on. I suspect this will be confirmed by Eamon Gilmore in his speech this evening. The Labour is not going to be anyone's B Team from now on. From here on expect the Labour Party to stand on its own two feet with its own policies. - blogging from Kilkenny
