Labour's Cllr Keith Martin hopes to become Mayo's Biggest Loser!
Labour's Cllr Keith Martin has high hopes of being crowned Mayo's Biggest Loser on December 18th. The Labour councillor has signed up for Western Alzheimer's pre-Christmas fundraising weight loss competition. He weighed in last Monday along with others throughout Mayo.
Western Alzheimer's Mayo's Biggest Loser competition aims to raise money through sponsored weight loss. Last year over 60 people throughout Mayo took part.
According to Cllr Keith Martin "Its all for a good cause in the run up to Christmas and it won't do me any harm either. I have had a great response so far and it will do me no harm to cut out the grub and get a bit more exercise. I want to be a political heavy weight not just a heavy weight."
The overall winners last year were Pat Feeney from Ballyhaunis and Catherine McLoughlin, Ballindine. Western Alzheimers would like to thank the two main sponsors for once again coming on board this year, Eddie Murphy Menswear in Ballyhaunis and Mary Campbell of Campbell Fashions in Swinford.
